Safari nautico Cross Rico Arm
of Lake Argentino facing Perito Moreno glacier wall. Departure from Bajo las Sombras port, 7 kms. From the Glacier viewpoint. Daily departures every hour. Minitrekking Navigation across Rico Arm of Lake Argentino from Bajo las Sombras port. Walk in
the forest and on the Glacier with crampons and specialized guides. The walk lasts around 2 hours. Hiking shoes or sneakers,
gloves and sunglasses are recommended.

Minitrekking
Whale day tour, Starts at Bajo de las Sombras bay, 7 Km. from the Glacier balconies, aboard a catamaran to cross the Rico Branch of Lago Argentino. Landing on the southwest coast to set out on a 20 minute walk along the bank to the ice line.
There, the guides provide the necessary equipment and the ice trekking begins! It takes about 2 hours.
Different ice formations, crevices, seracs, small pools, etc. can be observed. The party will be given information about the local flora and fauna, glaciology and then peculiar collapse phenomenon of the Glacier.
Back in the shelter, the group will have lunch.
Return to starting pint, where a bus will take the party to the balconies facing the glacier, to spend aout 1 hour there before returning to El Calafate. |
